Warehouse Inventory Management
- Every warehouse is organized into zones and locations, so stock is tracked down to the exact shelf or bin it sits in — not just "somewhere in the warehouse"
- Incoming goods go through a Goods Receipt Note (GRN), an optional Quality Control inspection, and a guided Putaway step that assigns each unit to a specific storage location before it counts as available stock
- Every physical unit can carry its own barcode label, generated the moment it's received or produced, for unit-level traceability from goods-in to goods-out
- Batch and expiry (shelf-life) tracking is built in, so stock can be picked and issued First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) automatically wherever that matters
- A full stock ledger records every movement — in, out and adjustment — so quantity on hand is always backed by a real, auditable transaction history, never just an edited number
- Stock Adjustments, Stock Transfers and Cycle Counts keep recorded stock honest against physical reality on an ongoing basis
- Return Notes bring goods back from a customer into a proper, trackable stock state instead of an untracked side pile
- Multi-client (3PL) support lets one physical warehouse hold and track separate clients' inventory side by side, with every transaction scoped to the right client automatically
How It Works
From goods arriving at the dock to a confirmed receipt at another warehouse or a signed-off customer shipment — six steps, fully barcode-traceable.
STEP 1
Receipt & Putaway
Goods arrive and are checked in via GRN, optionally quality-checked, then put away into a specific zone/location — only then do they count as available stock.
STEP 2
Stock Under Tracking
Stock sits in the warehouse under full batch, expiry and location tracking, with every movement recorded in the stock ledger.
STEP 3
Raise Dispatch Order
A Dispatch Order is raised — targeting either a customer or another of the company's own warehouses, depending on what's configured.
STEP 4
Generate Pick List
A Pick List generates automatically using the company's chosen picking strategy, resolving down to specific physical labeled units.
STEP 5
Scan, Issue & Gate Exit
An operator scans and issues each unit at Material Issue, moving it out of the source warehouse — optionally packed and loaded before Gate Exit.
STEP 6
Warehouse Transfer Receipt
For an inter-warehouse transfer, the receiving warehouse scans each unit in on arrival, completing the chain of custody.
